Candace is our Receptionist and Office Manager and will be
able to assist callers with questions about our services. She has
a strong background in Sports and has studied both Philosophy and
Psychology and certified as a Pharmacy Technician. She is studying
nursing.
Suzanne
has joined our clinic, having worked in the healthcare field for
several years.
Katie
M Has recently joined us. Besides reception she is also
involved with the Kwagala
Foundation, a non profit organization to help children in Uganda.

Marita
V has left our clinic for another career and is doing
well. Marita is returning to help out during our recent busy season.
Genevieve our other Receptionist and Massage Therapist is
currently on Maternity leave. We congratulate Genevieve and her
husband Kris on their second baby..
Clinical Travel Nurses
Sandra
has recently joined us having been a recent Nursing grad but also
expierence as a veterinarian nurse.
Davilyn
works on one of Winnipeg's busiest Internal Medicine wards
besides working as a Travel medicine nurse.
Bernadette works
part time as an Internal Medicine nurse and will be helping with
our influenza clinics this fall.
Kim
is a recent nursing graduate and has also a degree in Kinesiology.
Shauna is
alsoin some a U of manitoba Nursing Grad with an interest
in Public Health and Nursing Research and will assist us pending
publications
Tenise
also works at Deer Lodge and will be joining us as a casual/ relief
nurse.

clinic nurses-
We had a very busy season
with the 2007-8 Influenza campaign and special thanks to all the
staff, nurses and participating office managers who helped makethis
work smoothly.
Past staff
Stella
L has worked as a Registered Nurse in Korea for 19 years at
the Seoul National University since her graduation. She has worked
in Internal medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology,
and Immunization departments in Korea. She has also completed a
Public health nursing program in Korea.
Since moving
to Canada she has finished a RN refresher course through Red River
College and has been a Registered Nurse since January 2004. Stella
speaks Korean and reads German. She is also able to assist travelers
going to teach in Korea on Korean culture. Stella has relocated
with her family to Toronto.
Margeaux
works as an emergancy nurse as well as a clinical travel nurse.
Krista has
gone to work closer to her family
Ellie
T joined our clinic and brought with her a wealth
of expierence as an Occupational and Public Health Nurse. She and
her husband Ron have traveled extensvely. Ellie will be leaving
us due to other committments but will still be a part of our clinic
as she returns to Winnipeg from time to time. She is located in
BC with a new Travel medicine clinic.
Trish
F had worked for us in the summer of 2006 before returning
to her studies as a Law Student in Calgary. She also is an expierenced
labour and Delivery nurse which she still maintains while studying
in Calgary.
Gail O has been a registered nurse since 1991. She has worked
at the Misercordia General Hospital as well as two rural hospitals-
serving several communities including French, First Nation, and
Hutterite patients. She was also part of Misercordia's transition
to an Interim Personal care Facility, and has personal care home
experience within a Ukrainian community setting. Prior to completing
her Nursing education Gail participated in two cross-cultural exchanges:
Katimavik and Canada World Youth, experiencing Rural life in Quebec,
British Columbia and Brazil. She speaks French and English. Gail
has recently completed an Underwater Investigator course and is
now qualified to investigate scuba accidents.
Clinic Director
Gary Podolsky M.D, BSc (Med) and BSc (Sci) Certificate in
Travel Medicine TM His past experience includes
working as an Emergency Physician at the Grace Hospital, Sports
Medicine at the Pan Am clinic, Medical Officer for Carnival Cruiselines,
Expedition Doctor in Nepal and Tibet, and as a Civilian physician
with the Canadian Air force in addition to General Practice. All
of these disciplines and experiences have been used to develop our
Sports and Travel Medicine Clinic.
Dr Podolsky practices both Sports and Travel Medicine out of our
clinic. He has a particular interest in Marine and Altitude Medicine
from prior experiences in Tibet and the Caribbean. He is studying
several languages- Spanish, French, German, Russian and Ukrainian.
He
is continually developing conferences in Travel Medicine and related
field which are listed in our what's new
