Mycetoma
(Madura foor, Maduromycosis, Maduromycetoma)

A chronic fungal infection, usually affecting the lower extremity involving skin, muscle, and bone.

These fungi enter the body through a scrap or cut.

At first small firm painless nodules develop over weeks to months.

They will enlarge and ulcerate in their centers.

Treatment with drugs and often surgery is necessary.
