Winter 2007 Events- FREE!     Wednesday, February 7th 2007 from 7:30pm to 9:00pm is our February Travel Night "Cycling in Europe" . Come and listen to how two members toured Germany and the Czech Republic by cycle. This event is held at the Sport Manitoba Building, 2nd Floor, 200 Main Street. Everyone is welcome to attend and the event is free.   Thursday February 8 th from 7-8pm, is Hostelling 101 at Mountain Equipment Coop. It is a Q &A, travel discussion featuring planning tips, advice, and in's and out's of hostelling for new comers and seasoned travelers. The session is free and open to everyone.   Monday March 12 , 2007 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm Hostelling International, together with Travel Cuts, presents "Travel Smart Seminar"! Free information on pre-trip planning, travel health advice from Skylark Medical Center, risk management, and packing-the light way- from experienced hostel staff and friends. Admission to the seminar is free and resource tables will be available for those searching for more detailed information. The Travel Smart Seminar is held at the Sport Manitoba Building, 2nd Floor, 200 Main Street. Drinks and refreshments provided.   Wednesday March 14th 2007 from 7:30 to 9:00pm is Hostelling International's March Travel Night "The Children's Library Fund and Development Work in Ghana, Burkino Faso, and Mali" . Come and listen to Kathy Knowle's inspirational story about her time in Ghana (and beyond) helping children discover something special.   Thursday, March 22 , 2007 from 7-8pm @ McNally Robinson's Portage Place. We are hosting a hostelling 101 session over coffee/drinks. It is a travel discussion featuring planning tips, advice, and hostelling information for new comers and seasoned travelers. The session is free and open to everyone.
